Contextual tectonics

This session investigates the possibilities of establishing interrelations and connectedness on two scales. One is the potentiality of the detail as a source of new insights and discoveries, and as a means of examining and developing the building in relation to its context - ‘the contextual detail'. Another is the ability of large structures, of an urban scale, to ‘link' to other huge city structures and thereby create connections.
