Wang was educated at Bartlett in London. Today he is a partner in the architectural drawing office, Hoidn Wang, which is based in Berlin. However, he is also known internationally as an architectural theoretician. He has served as the director of the Deutsches Architekturmuseum in Frankfurt and as a professor at several European and American universities.
